If you are using a public computer, we recommend clearing the browser's "cookies" and password history before closing the browser. Cookies are files that are used to keep track of your session while using the patient portal. Once you log off, the cookies are not needed anymore. If the cookies or password settings are left on the computer, it's possible someone may be able to login to your account (on this computer).

To clear the cookies on a Windows or Mac computer, press the following three keys at the same time: Ctrl, Shift, and Delete. This will bring up a dialog box in most browsers like Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox and Safari. Make sure you check the option to clear passwords. Then click the Delete or OK button that appears at the bottom of the dialog box.

If you are using a public iPad, tablet, phone or other mobile device, the process for clearing cookies is different. Please search (using Google or other search engine) for the process to clear cookies on that device in that case.
